Star’s Football Family
Happy Easter to those who are celebrating. Another great opportunity to stop and reflect on the journey we are on. This week was unique in regards to our students having standardized tests and a shortened week because of Good Friday. Anytime we have a different schedule I always get worried about the consistency that our Stars will be able to perform. It takes a considerable amount of accountability and investment to be a North Star football player. We talk at length about having the competitive stamina to keep showing up and making the team a priority. We define competitive stamina as the ability to keep showing up long after the excitement of the initial push has been made. This week our boys showed the GRIT and put the team first. I am very proud to be a part of this group’s journey because they are showing the WE over ME mentality that it will take to be a champion.

SCN FOOTBALL PLAYERS NEED YOUR HELP
Thursday, June 16th our program has been invited to be one of 12 schools to compete in U of I 7 on 7 passing jamborees. In order to get to the event, SCN FB would like to rent a coach minibus. Unfortunately, the program would not be able to pay for this in its entirety. If anyone or a group of supporters would like to contribute a monetary donation, please email Danielle Taormina or coach Pomazak directly.

SERVANT LEADERSHIP
SCN FOOTBALL will be cleaning their backyard this month. In 2015, SCN FB adopted Red Gate Rd from Randall down through 31. As the snow melts and the remnants of the winter surface, SCN FB will spend an afternoon cleaning the sides of the roads of trash and debris. The date is still TBD.
Star’s football would love additional philanthropy for March. If you have any ideas or access points, please email
