Star’s Football Family-
Greetings from balmy St. Charles!!! AHHHHHHHH! 45 degrees today and it felt like 85. I hope you got a chance to enjoy the afternoon with your loved ones. I spent the day with my family. Let me tell you, it is just what the doctor ordered. Growing up as a first-generation Italian American in Chicago, my family has always been the foundation of my life. Sundays were spent at my Nonna’s house. Eating, laughing, eating some more, fighting, and then yes eating again! As a boy, I didn’t get the opportunity to appreciate it as I do now. What I would give to go back to one of those Sundays. It was special, now as an adult, I see just how hard my family worked to make those moments possible. It was not always easy to take the time to spend together but for my family it was necessary. I have taken that lesson and formed much of my life around it. In our program, we are a family. We will laugh, cry and yes eat together too. It will not always be easy to take the time to stay connected but in the end, we understand it is necessary. Because a family is invested in each other’s being. Families are selfless for one another. Families are prepared to do whatever it takes to protect the family. In our football program, the “family” will always be the most important thing. As we move into this next phase of our offseason, I am excited to bring new and exciting experiences to help us build and bring our family together.
Summer camp dates have been set, please do your part to plan vacations around the camps during the designated dead periods we have.

QUARTER 1 UPDATE
After 13 weeks and 52 team opportunities, we have our winner for the 2022 Winter Platoon Challenge. Congratulations to the Orca’s our Linebackers group. They did a fantastic job of investing and preparing all winter long. Their level of accountability was elite and the selflessness shown to support each other was awesome.
Congratulations to Soren Erickson and Abel Anell on being the top point recipients for the winter performance program! These two young men invested over 90 hours and 4000 minutes into their own development! They will be receiving a gift from the program.
ELITE LEADER WEEK 13
Our final Elite Leader of the Winter block is Senior RB/LB Johnny Vendl. John has not missed a lift in his 4 years at North. He has dedicated his time to becoming the best teammate and football player he can possibly be. There is not a more deserving person of this week’s award than Johnny.
SPRING 7 ON 7 OPPORTUNITY
As we move into 2022, one of my goals as the leader of the program is to create more opportunities to play the game for our youth and in-building athletes. St. Charles North will be a part of the All- American 7 on 7 League
This is a change from our earlier initiative with I9. We were a part of the AA 7 on 7 leagues in 2019 and had a good experience. More information is coming shortly.
