Coach’s Message
1.19-1.25
Star’s Football Family
Good Day,
I want to thank those who attended the 4th Phase meeting this past week. It was great to see such a huge turnout! Clearly, we are all invested and ready to take the next steps. I truly believe our resolve and positive attitude is the reason why our program will come out of this stronger than ever. It is because of you that our kids have continued to prepare and lead themselves through this crisis. I want to be brief and get to the nuts and bolts. Recently our IDHP has adjusted their metric system for Covid Mitigations. This change has had a positive impact on the future of IHSA sports. Below is the same correspondence I sent to our players on Tuesday. While there is still much to iron out I am proud to say that the plan that we put in place in November has kept our program on an upward trajectory and ready for action if and when we get the call.
Stars- An update on our journey. PLEASE READ
1. New adjustments to the governor’s covid plan have brought us into Tier 2
2. Tier 2 will allow us to begin contact days and have non – contact practices /training sessions
3. At this time we do not have instructions or schedule for these days / Our district and SCN AD dept are working on this as we speak, please allow 1 week.
4. When we get the schedule I will have a program meeting to communicate the details.
5. In the meantime please stay consistent with your training / those who have used this time to better themselves will come out ahead
6. Your speed training is essential please get your cleats on and get your running in 1 to 2 times per week.
7. Our initial plan is playing out very favorable for us. We will have one final week of training next week. Starting in Feb we will begin our conditioning acclimatization plan (details will be forthcoming)

- If your son was already included in the Recruiting Profiles and you would like to have a personal link of just your son, Chris is offering the chance to purchase a custom link for your player for $39.99. If you are interested, you can purchase it here at https://www.storyoftheseason.com/subscribe.
