Coach’s Message
4.11-415
Star’s Football Family-
I first want to thank you for the contributions made to our boosters club over the past few weeks to make the 2nd Annual Top Golf Booster Fundraiser successful. This year did not disappoint. A great event held for a great cause run by great people. To me, moments like these are a microcosm of what a successful program should be. It reminds me of chapter 3 of our book study Power of a Positive Team. In this chapter, Jon Gordon discusses the importance of losing your ego and simply investing in the following belief.
CARE MORE … DO MORE… ACT MORE!
In my line of work, ego needs to be kept in check.. It is elementary to start believing your hype or making decisions based on protecting your ego. In reality, the head coach must always ask themselves the following question.
Is this good for the program or good for my ego?
While I am not perfect, I try my best to lose my ego and focus on being a servant to our program and doing everything I can each day to make our program one that you are proud to be involved with. This message translates into every corner of our program. Whether it is a coach, player, or parent. If we lose our ego, we can care more, do more and act more for the greater good.

SERVANT LEADERSHIP
SCN FOOTBALL will be cleaning their backyard this month. In 2015, SCN FB adopted Red Gate Rd from Randall down through 31. As the snow melts and the remnants of the winter surface, SCN FB will spend an afternoon cleaning the sides of the roads of trash and debris. The date is still TBD.
Star’s football would love additional philanthropy for March. If you have any ideas or access points, please email
