Coach’s Message

Star’s Football Family-

Hope this message finds you doing well. First, I want to say thank you to all of our parents/guardians for their constant support of our program and their son or daughter. I understand the monetary investment you are making in their development and it is appreciated. This year we are focusing on the journey and the climb back to the top. We talked to our players this week about the journey and how nothing is ever given it all must be earned. We honed in on the fact that last year’s success does not mean anything this year. Each year we start back at the bottom of the mountain and must make the daily investments to climb back to the top. We told the parable of the man who has climbed 1000 mountains and when one of the townspeople ask him why he chooses to take such a risk. He simply replies “my friend you must have never seen the view from the top”.  The goal is to get our players to understand that the amount of work we must put in is NOT common but the view will be worth it!  I hope you can take a moment this week to discuss your son or daughter’s journey and how their climb is going. 

The schedule for this week has no changes but a few additions so please be sure to read through this newsletter in its entirety. 

Those who opt-out of camps cannot be held against you because all camps are voluntary, but in real terms, it will put players behind in all 4 quadrants of their development. In the end, we are a program built around exceptional player development, and not having those opportunities will only be a detriment to the player.
